Parishioners throughout the Diocese of Grand Island are encouraged to consider young people in our midst that shows signs of a prayer life, service. A simple nomination—writing a name—can spark discernment, especially when paired with thoughtful follow-up, letters of encouragement or a discernment retreat.

  1. Recognized as being approachable.

  2. Forms and maintains healthy relationships with peers.

  3. Considers a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as an important part of their life.

  4. Ability and desire to talk about faith.

  5. Have a desire to serve others and make a difference in the lives of others.

  6. Willing to sacrifice personal or material gain for the service of the Gospel and the Church.

  7. Have a good physical, mental and emotional health.

  8. Recognizes the importance of the Church.
