In the mid-1800’s, Father John Bosco knew that the heart of every young man beats for greatness. He began a school for guys in the city of Turin, Italy. Hundreds gathered there to learn, pray, play, and grow as young men. Nearby in a small, country town, Dominic Savio asked his parents if he could join the brotherhood. Dominic knew God was calling, and Fr. Bosco and the Turin oratory would be the best place he could become the saint God made him to be. More than 150 years later, we want to do the same thing. Imagine, hundreds of young men gather for “Savio Nights”. We play and we pray, and we try to live the same promises that made St. Dominic Savio a Saint.
If you are longing for more than this world offers, join us.
What we do
PRAY
To be a saint we need to put prayer at the center. Every savio meeting begins and ends with communion with each other and importantly with Almighty God!
FEAST
Celebrating Feast Days and Sundays!! Every Savio Night is a chance to celebrate and live out the Easter Sunday joy! Plus you don’t go hungry at Savio Nights.
BEFRIEND
No one grows in holiness alone. Savio fosters authentic friendships with other young men who encourage one another to live with virtue, faith, and courage. Just like St. Dominic Savio who wanted to be friends with Jesus and Mary and those who also loves those two.
SACRIFICE
Giving of your time and talent is a gift we can offer God. Discipline also yields greatness, because it gives God’s power a place to shine! Time to time we will challenge guys to go the extra mile - Praying the Rosary daily for a month, push up challenges, daily mass etc.
