What to Expect:
Discernment Focus: The retreat provides space to ask "Where is God calling me?" in my life.
Activities: The day includes time for prayer, adoration, reflection and optional time of sharing.
Speakers: Attendees can hear from priests, religious, and married couples about their own journeys.
The Discere retreat is a free, one-day event hosted by the vocation’s office aimed at helping young single Catholics to pause, pray, and discern their future path.

Seminary & CONVENT Visits
Every young man or women eventually has to make some hard decisions – college, career, marriage, family, religious life.
Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking about the priesthood or religious life at church, in your personal prayers, or wherever. Maybe you’ve thought to yourself: Will I have to give up everything – my family, my friends, the things I enjoy? Must I be super holy, super smart, or somehow “different?” Anyway, how would I know if God is calling me?
Visits to the seminary or the convent will help you answer these questions as you witness a seminarian’s or a religious life of work, study, prayer, and joy! The weekend retreats are hosted by seminaries or religious communitions in or near the state of Nebraska.
